myDermRecruiter is seeking a Human Resources (HR) Director to join a renowned private dermatology and plastic surgery practice in Hollywood Hills, California. As the HR Director, you will set the tone for all HR-related functions of the practice, including employee relations, ongoing recruitment efforts, policy changes, documentation and compliance issues.
This is a full-time position with a competitive compensation plan and full benefits.
Practice Description
This highly reputable team provides innovative facial and body cosmetic surgery to high-end clientele from across the nation and around the world. Maintaining a robust performance-based culture, this group provides unparalleled patient care in a boutique, hotel-like experience.
Position Overview
The HR Director oversees and manages the human resources function of the practice and plays a critical role in supporting clinic operations by ensuring that the necessary personnel and resources are available for providers to deliver high-quality patient care.
The HR Director reports directly to the CEO and serves as a member of the executive team.
Position Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field required
- Master’s degree preferred
- Five or more years of experience in healthcare human resources / talent management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
- Ability to create a culture of diversity, inclusivity, collaboration and teamwork
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills
Position Responsibilities
- Recruits, interviews and hires qualified job applicants.
- Collaborates with executives to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Performs all new hire onboarding and orientation.
- Compiles and updates employee records.
- Sets and measures KPIs for employees.
- Schedules and assists with performance evaluations.
- Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations and investigations per company policy.
- Provides support/guidance to staff when complex, specialized and sensitive questions and issues arise.
- Acts as a liaison between the organization and external benefits providers and vendors, which may include health, disability and retirement plan providers.
- Processes payroll and analyzes trends in compensation and benefits.
- Researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment laws, regulations and best practices
- Reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes and new technologies in human resources, talent management and employment law.
- Performs additional administrative tasks as needed.
