Key Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for exams by obtaining vital signs and documenting their medical history.
- Assist physicians during examinations and surgical procedures by ensuring the availability of required instruments.
- Perform laboratory tests and assist with the collection and preparation of specimens.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality in all dealings.
- Schedule appointments and manage patient communications effectively.
- Provide education to patients regarding treatment plans and post-procedure care.
- Ensure exam rooms are properly maintained and stocked with appropriate supplies.
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Medical Assistant is highly desirable.
- Prior experience as a Medical Assistant or in a related healthcare position.
- Understanding of medical terminology and procedures related to dermatology.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, for effective patient interactions.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information with care.
- Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail, able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and basic office software.
