Responsibilities
- Coordinate biologic therapy initiation, continuation, and monitoring for dermatology patients
- Serve as the primary point of contact for patients regarding biologic medications
- Complete and submit prior authorizations, reauthorizations, and insurance appeals
- Verify insurance benefits and communicate coverage information to patients
- Work closely with specialty pharmacies to ensure accurate prescription processing and medication delivery
- Enroll patients in manufacturer assistance programs, copay cards, and bridge programs as needed
- Educate patients on biologic treatments, administration, and required monitoring
- Track required labs, TB testing, and ongoing clinical documentation
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Collaborate with providers, nursing staff, and administrative teams to support patient care
