What we are looking for:
We’re looking for a sharp, proactive teammate who thrives in a fast-moving environment and loves making an impact behind the scenes. In this role, you’ll be the engine that keeps our billing and collections process running smoothly—working across multiple insurance carriers and private-pay accounts, reviewing and posting charges with precision, and partnering with our offices to ensure every detail is accurate and compliant. What you’ll do:
Provide exceptional customer service at all times!
Answer inbound phone calls to the Billing support line and perform outbound phone calls as necessary.
Explain the claims process and explanation of benefits, effectively and professionally.
Maintain a strong understanding of business office processes—especially charge review—and stay up to date on Modernizing Medicine enhancements to ensure accurate, confident communication with patients about their accounts.
Maintain thorough and detailed knowledge of cosmetic and self-pay billing.
Prepare, review, and post non-insurance bills/charges using billing software, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Verify that charges have been entered and approved in accordance with company policy for every checked-in appointment (missing charges report).
Communicate professionally and effectively with staff and offices relating to patient escalation, cosmetic bills, fee sheets and inventory items.
Respond to care questions or complaints in order to immediately resolve. Provide documentation on unresolved issues voiced by patients and refer to the appropriate party for resolution.
Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
At least one (1) year of related experience in medical billing, and/or at least one (1) year of employment at Epiphany Dermatology; an equivalent combination of tenure, experience, and education may also be considered.
Previous experience in administrative medical office - highly preferred.
Must be available to work onsite, at the Austin HQ (no remote work options for external candidates)
Experience with Modernizing Medicine a plus.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
Administrativeoffice may have minimum visits to medical offices with possible exposure to procedure/exam room and laboratory environment may include exposure to communicable diseases, bloodborne pathogens, biohazards or toxic substances. Daily activities may include standing, walking, sitting, bending and lifting items up to 30 lbs.
