The Role: Impact & Responsibilities
As a Triage Dermatology Assistant, you are the primary bridge between our patients and providers. Your day will be a dynamic mix of clinical documentation and critical thinking. Clinical support will be cross trained after learning the main duties of Triage.
Expert Triaging: Manage incoming calls and faxes, prioritizing patient needs and ensuring the communication cycle is completed with empathy and accuracy.
Patient Advocacy: Act as an educator, guiding patients through their treatment plans and resolving concerns with a "patient-first" mindset.
Clinical Support: Assist providers by documenting patient histories, performing procedures, and providing vital patient education in both general dermatology and our aesthetic center.
Scribe & Document: Accompany providers during exams to capture real-time clinical notes, ensuring the highest standard of record-keeping.
Schedule & Compensation
Hours: Full-time (80 hours per bi-weekly pay period).
Flexibility: Monday–Friday, with shifts scheduled between 7:45 am and 5:15 pm.
Pay: Competitive wage based on experience and licensure.
RequirementsWhat You Bring to the Team
Licensure (Required): You must be a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or hold a current Nebraska LPN license.
Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
Certifications: Ability to obtain CPR/BLS (within 60 days), Medication Aide (within 90 days), Certified Dermatology Technician (CDT) certification (after 90 days).
Experience: Previous experience in triage and dermatology is a plus, but a "self-starter" attitude and a team-player mentality are essential.
