Job Summary:
The Mohs Clinical Services Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the Mohs procedure support team consisting of surgical technicians, medical assistants and other clinical support staff. Their duties include partnering with the providers and support staff to ensure efficient utilization of Mohs procedure appointments and improve Mohs specific Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Their duties include scheduling the team, incorporating best practices and acting as a point of escalation when needed.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Supervises employees engaged in performing Mohs medical activities across all locations.
- Builds relationships of trust between the provider, Mohs medical team and the practice.
- Monitors, analyzes and works to improve Mohs specific Key Performance Indicators.
- Coordinates Mohs surgical care and team growth with the Leadership team.
- In collaboration with the providers, plans and prepares work schedules and assigns Mohs team members to specific duties.
- Hires, trains, and evaluates Mohs medical assistants, surgical technicians, schedulers and other Mohs in consultation with Practice Administrator, Human Resources, and the providers.
- Contributes to the development of new policies, procedures, and training programs for the Mohs team.
- Supports the providers to identify and resolve problems with service to customers.
- Ensures Mohs medical team compliance with applicable government laws, healthcare regulations/guidelines, and Company policies and procedures.
- Handles difficult/challenging conversations with employees with professionalism and fairness, adhering to company and federal/state employment regulations.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Collaborate to ensure processes are in place for an exceptional patient experience from the moment of booking to post-treatment follow-up.
- Acts as a point of escalation for the Mohs team and address patient inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements

- Education and Experience:
- Certificate in clinical field preferred, but not required.
- Minimum of 2 years prior experience as a Mohs medical assistant, histotechnician, surgical technician or scheduler
- Minimum of 1 year in a supervisory/leadership capacity
- Current CPR, ALS certificate.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds at times.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
- Combination of medical office and exam rooms. Frequent exposure to communicable diseases, biohazards, and other conditions common in clinic settings. Light lifting to 20 lbs and ability to physically support patients as needed.
