Carroll Dermatology Surgery and Laser Institute is a state-of-the-art practice in Downtown near the historical Clematis Street Commercial District. Specializing in Adult and Pediatric Dermatology, Dermatologic Surgery and Cosmetic Dermatology, Dr. Carroll offers the latest and most successful treatments for general dermatology skin disease. Her surgical services include treatment of skin cancer with MOHS micrographic surgery, excision, electrodesiccation curettage, photodynamic therapy and topical immune modulators. Those seeking cosmetic, no downtime transformations will benefit from her many nonsurgical options.
We are seeking an experienced medical assistant to assist with both dermatology and cosmetic services – including opportunities to earn bonus for selling cosmetic services.
Must be professional, reliable, meticulous, team player, energetic with attention to detail. Experience in Cosmetic Dermatology a plus!
Primary responsibilities include:
- Rooming patients
- Managing patient flow/triage
- Scribing for providers in our EMR system (ModMed EMA)
- Assisting providers with exams and surgical procedures
- Assessing and responding to prescription refill requests
- Preparing exam rooms for office visits and surgical procedures
- Scheduling appointments and addressing patient phone calls appropriately
- Providing patient education and post-operative care instructions
- Obtaining prior authorizations
- Insurance verification
- Maintaining pathology log
- Calling patients to give biopsy results in a timely manner with proper documentation
- Stocking rooms
- Cleaning instruments
- Photography
- Social media posting
- Overall maintenance of work space, maintaining neat and clean work stations
- Proficiency with EMR (Mod Med)

- Selling cosmetic packages
- Always maintaining a professional attitude and attire at all times
- Coordinating cosmetic patients and charts with documentation including photos
- Subspeciality with coordinating program for body sculpting
