- Job Title: Histology Technician
- Location: Mill Creek
- Typical Schedule: Mondays – Fridays, 5:30 am-2:00 pm or 6:00 am -2:30 pm
- Wage Range: $24-$35 (Pay is dependent upon a combination of multiple factors including but not limited to work experience, transferable skills, business needs, and geographic market availability)

Qualifications:
• HT (ASCP) or Bachelor’s degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, or chemical, physical, or biological science (HT eligible)
• Frozen section experience preferred, but not required. Training available.
Some Histo technician duties include:
• Accession specimens to gross
• Prepare skin tissue specimens for microscopic examination
• Process and embed samples
• Section paraffin-embedded samples
• Prepare reagents, solutions, control slides, and special stains
• Accurately label tissue samples and slides
• Other duties as assigned, including preparing and maintaining laboratory reagents/stains/solutions, performing routine equipment maintenance and cleaning, filing slides and blocks, and assisting with quick accession of cases
