Join our growing dermatology practice, where we provide exceptional care to our patients with a focus on medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our team and help us deliver high-quality care in a friendly and professional environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist dermatologists with patient care, including preparing patients for examinations, performing intake assessments, and documenting patient information and prescriptions in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Set up and maintain treatment rooms, ensuring all necessary supplies are available and sterilized for medical, surgical and cosmetic procedures.
- Assist with dermatologic procedures, including biopsies, excisions, I & D, wound care, and other procedures.
- Educate patients on proper skin care, treatment, and aftercare for various dermatologic conditions.
- Perform other clinical and administrative tasks as assigned to ensure smooth office operations.
Qualifications:
- Medical Assistant Certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) required.
- Prior experience in dermatology as a medical assistant for at least 1 year required.
- Knowledge of dermatology-specific treatments, and procedures.
- Proficiency in using EMR systems and basic computer skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
