Description
Under general supervision, the Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Patient Services Representatives, Front Office Coordinator, Practice Operations Manager, and the Practice Administrator in support of delivering expert medical care to our patients. Day-to-day activities will vary from greeting and interacting with patients, collecting patient intake information, returning phone calls, responding to fax correspondence, performing point-of-care testing, setting up exam rooms and preparing for surgical procedures as well as assisting with surgical procedures all while executing our goal to provide first-rate patient care. Overall, the Medical Assistant has a direct interaction with patients and is an integral component in helping deliver our mission of bringing state-of-the-art expertise and patient care to our clientele.
Qualifications
- Scribing experience is a must
- Must be able to travel to Litchfield location two days a week(Wednesday & Thursday) and Myrtle Beach location(Friday) one day a week
- Completion of a technical/vocational training school program with either CMA, AAMA, RMA, or CCMA Medical Assistant certification -OR-
- Emergency Medical Technician certification; as well as a high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- BLS Healthcare Provider CPR certification.
- Medical Assistant experience or the equivalent thereof in a high-volume medical setting with the ability to read, write and interpret medical terminology.
- Scheduling flexibility to be able work morning/afternoon/evening hours four or five days per week as needed.

Working Conditions
- Reliable, independent transportation is required for travel to various office locations.
- Required to move from one location to another within and outside of the building; push, pull and reach; bend; stand for long periods of time; and sit for long periods of time.
- Ability to work 8-10+ hour shifts and be available for overtime as needed.
- Must be able to speak and write English fluently.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
- The schedule is Tuesday-Thursdays at our Litchfield location and rotates every other week to Wednesday and Thursday at our Litchfield location and Friday at our South Strand Location
- The Schedule is 7:30AM-6:30PM with 30 minute-1 hour lunch and two 10 minute paid breaks.
