As an OR Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in our patients' surgical experiences, providing skilled nursing care in the operating room and collaborating closely with our surgical team. You will ensure a safe and efficient surgical environment while delivering compassionate care to our patients before, during, and after their procedures. Your contributions will help us maintain our commitment to excellence in surgical outcomes and patient satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures.
- Assist surgeons and surgical team members during procedures to ensure smooth operations.
- Monitor patient vital signs and maintain a sterile field.
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative care to patients.
- Educate patients and their families about procedures and aftercare.
- Document patient information and maintain accurate records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to all safety protocols.
- Active RN license in the applicable state.
- Current BLS and ACLS certification.
- Previous experience in an operating room environment preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Dermatology or surgical experience is a plus.
