Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our Allergy Solutions Lab as a Solution Mixing Technician for our Millburn, NJ office. This entry-level position is ideal for candidates with a background as a Medical Assistant or similar, looking to specialize in allergen extract preparation. Under indirect supervision of a licensed physician, the technician will be responsible for the precise mixing of allergen extracts, strictly adhering to established protocols.
Schedule: Monday - Friday: 8am - 5pm.
Essential Functions:
- Prepare allergen extract mixtures accurately, following standardized recipes and protocols.
- Maintain aseptic technique and adhere to safety and sterility standards.
- Label, package, and store mixed extracts appropriately.
- Document lot numbers, expiration dates, and maintain accurate records.
- Assist in inventory management and ordering of lab supplies.
- Participate in ongoing training to ensure compliance with best practices.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program or equivalent training required.
- Prior experience in a laboratory or clinical setting preferred
- Familiarity with aseptic techniques and sterile preparation preferred
- Basic understanding of allergen extracts and immunotherapy preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to work independently under indirect supervision.
