As the Lead Clinical for our practice, you'll play an instrumental role in managing medical assistants, streamlining patient flow, and ensuring that our team adheres to best practices in patient care. Your expertise and leadership will be crucial in fostering a cooperative environment that prioritizes the needs of our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary superuser for the EMA ModMed platform, providing support and troubleshooting for staff.
- Oversee and optimize daily patient flow; reassign medical assistants as necessary based on volume and team needs.
- Assist in training and onboarding new medical assistants; provide ongoing guidance and performance feedback.
- Coordinate with the Practice Manager to address patient inquiries and issues regarding billing, registration, and care.
- Develop and maintain protocols for patient care, ensuring compliance with all safety and health regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels and manage the ordering and restocking of all medical supplies.
- Ensure all procedures are performed in alignment with established infection control guidelines and OSHA standards.
- Assist providers in the examination rooms, ensuring they have the necessary support for efficient patient visits.
- Document all patient interactions accurately, including medical histories and treatments provided.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for both patients and staff.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; certification as a Medical Assistant is preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in dermatology.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and practices; familiarity with EMA ModMed is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and staff.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to patient care.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA compliance standards.
