Key Responsibilities:
- Nextech Management: Act as the primary point of contact for staff regarding Nextech issues, supporting supply management and patient flow enhancement.
- Team Coordination: Allocate tasks to medical assistants based on patient volume and help manage workflow backlogs for efficiency.
- Task Oversight: Ensure that MAs complete their assigned tasks and maintain productivity by assisting with daily to-do lists and reallocation of duties when necessary.
- Training & Mentorship: Facilitate the onboarding and training of new medical assistants, fostering their development and providing performance feedback to the Office Manager.
- Office Manager Collaboration: Support the Office Manager in addressing patient complaints and handling issues related to registration, billing, and coding.
- Inventory Control: Oversee medical supply ordering, organization, and inventory management to ensure readiness for clinical operations.
- Patient Preparation: Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining medical histories, assisting with procedures, and ensuring compliance with sterilization and infection control protocols.
- Laboratory Documentation: Accurately prepare specimens, complete requisitions, and maintain logs for laboratory tests.
- Patient Interaction: Document patient interactions in the EMR system, address communications from patients and pharmacies, and provide explanations regarding procedures and products.
- Scheduling & Prescriptions: Coordinate appointments for surgical procedures, secure pre-authorizations, and process prescriptions in line with provider guidelines.
- Compliance & Safety: Uphold HIPAA, OSHA, and infection control standards, adhering to all office policies.
- Operational Duties: Ensure cleanliness of exam rooms, assist with housekeeping, review health histories, and carry out additional tasks as assigned.
