Job Title: Director, Growth & Integration
Reports to: Vice President, Growth and Field Operations
Location: Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout the Pacific Northwest as required. Position is a hybrid of re.mo.te work and on-site support at various locations. Travel is typically 25% but may increase to 50% during project launches.
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, operations or related field. Advanced degree preferred. Equivalent experience leading integrations in a large, multi-site platform may be considered.
- 7 - 10+ years’ healthcare operations experience
- Proven success leading complex, multi-site integrations
- Executive-facing presence and strong cross-functional leadership
- PE-backed platform experience preferred
- Experience designing and implementing M&A integrations a plus
Summary:
The Growth and Integration Director is a senior operational leader responsible for owning the end-to-end integration and launch of newly acquired clinics, de novo sites, and select enterprise-wide integration initiatives. This role exists to ensure growth translates into operational stability, standardization, and realized EBITDA, while freeing Field Operations leadership to focus on optimizing mature clinics.
This is a hands-on, execution-focused role for an experienced healthcare operator who can step into complex environments, lead through ambiguity, and personally drive work to completion while partnering effectively across the organization.
Objectives:
- Successfully integrate acquired clinics and launch de novo sites on time, on budget, and to performance expectations
- Establish repeatable, scalable integration and launch playbooks
- Minimize operational disruption to physicians, staff, and patients during periods of change
- Ensure integration assumptions are accurate and realized financially and operationally
- Reduce integration burden on Field Operations and senior leadership
Job Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, although other duties may be assigned:
Acquisition Diligence & Day 1 Readiness
- Collaborate with project managers and senior leadership team during the due diligence, planning, and go-live phase of all integration projects. Particular focus on building relationships with new acquisition partners.
- Analyze financial and operating models, help identify risks/synergies pre-deal
- Lead and develop the execution of communication plans for key stakeholders and business partners
- Support day 1 planning and execution
Post-Acquisition Clinic Integration
- Serve as the single accountable owner for the integration of newly acquired dermatology practices
- Lead and coordinate integration across:
- Clinical workflows and SOPs
- EMR / Practice Management system conversions
- Revenue cycle operations
- HR, payroll, benefits, and onboarding
- Vendor, supply chain, and purchasing standardization
- Develop and manage detailed integration plans, timelines, and go-live readiness
- Partner closely with Operations, Finance, HR, IT, and Clinical leadership to execute integration workstreams.
- Proactively identify and resolve risks impacting quality, timeline, provider experience, and EBITDA
De Novo Clinic Launch Ownership
- Act as the operational owner for de novo pipeline from pre-opening through stabilization
- Partner with Real Estate, Finance, and Clinical Leadership on:
- Operational design and site readiness
- Staffing models, hiring, and training
- Equipment, supply, and systems readiness
- Leads the clinic launch and remains embedded through the first 90–180 days post-open
- Establish standardized launch playbooks and avoid bespoke, one-off solutions
- Ensure smooth transition from launch phase to steady-state operations
Operational Transition & Stabilization
- Transition clinics from “integration mode” to steady-state operations with:
- Clean, disciplined handoffs to Field Operations
- Defined KPIs and performance baselines
- Clear ownership post-transition
- Ensure clinics are operationally stable before exiting integration oversight
Performance & Financial Discipline
- Partner closely with Finance and FP&A to ensure:
- Integration and launch assumptions are realized
- EBITDA leakage is identified and corrected early
- Staffing, workflows, and operational decisions align with budget
- Track and report on integration and launch KPIs, including:
- Ramp-to-productivity timelines
- Staffing efficiency
- Visit volumes and access
- Revenue per visit and contribution margin
- Process Improvement:
- Develop and refine integration playbooks, tools, templates, and best practices to enhance future performance
Enterprise Integration & Strategic Initiatives (as needed)
- Support large-scale integration initiatives that leverage clinic integration capabilities, such as:
- Enterprise technology rollouts (e.g., scribe adoption)
- New or expanded service lines (e.g., plastics, allergy, vein, lab/pathology, research, residency programs)
- Scope and prioritize these initiatives in partnership with executive leadership to ensure focus is maintained on core integration objectives
- Drive adoption through disciplined execution and change management
Change Management & Stakeholder Leadership
- Build credibility and trust with physicians, clinic leaders, and functional partners
- Lead through change with clarity, pragmatism, and minimal bureaucracy
- Communicate directly, professionally, and transparently with stakeholders at all levels
- Balance standardization with clinical realities and provider experience
