We are Looking for:
Someone who is an experienced Medical Assistant for our ENT medical practice. The medical assistant should perform a supportive role in delivering comprehensive care to the patient that is safe, effective, and efficient.
Responsibilities:
- Room patients and obtain vital signs, medical history, and chief complaints
- Assist providers during patient examinations and procedures
- Prepare and maintain exam rooms, equipment, and supplies
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and welcoming manner
- Verify patient information, including insurance coverage and personal information
- Collect co-pays and other fees from patients at the time of service
- Ensure the referrals are in the patient's chart before the patient comes in
- Maintain patient records and ensure that they are accurate and up to date
- Count cash box and complete cash reconciliation forms. Once close is completed, sign off on EBO report and cash reconciliation
- Handle patient complaints and resolve issues in a professional manner
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system
- Follow all infection control and HIPAA guidelines
- Performs related duties as required.

Requirements
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred
- Experience in an ENT clinic or similar specialty
- Experience in a medical office or customer service environment preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer applications
- Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance billing preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
