The Senior Applications Analyst will lead technical and business projects enterprise wide as it pertains to applications. They will plan, implement, develop, and manage core application solutions across US Dermatology Partners. This role will work closely with the applications director across functional business areas and general managers to understand the current business processes being performed as it pertains to enterprise applications. This role will drive transformation via software being designed, coded, developed, and implemented to support the organization. The Senior Applications Analyst reports directly to the Director of Core Applications and Development. This position is also responsible for working congruently with any and all other departments to support maximizing efficiency and capitalizing on the full features and benefits of all applications and operational systems.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Identify innovative applications for development and oversight that align with the systems strategy as it pertains to the tactical vision of the organization
• Coding capabilities in multiple, with logistic specification development between numerous applications
• Direct database experience with both Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server databases development and support
• Knowledgeable in Python, Microsoft, .Net and Java platforms and tools, as well as contemporary desktop and mobile oriented software (SOA, HTML5, wikis, blogs, tags)
• Contract negotiations with third party vendors dealing with service contracts, terms, dates, price negotiation, invoice review, and cost analysis
• Enterprise level project management that crosses into both the technical and business settings
• Testing and quality assurance on both internally developed and external applications
• Research, develop, analyze, and design system applications to meet the needs of the organization that go along with existing and future systems 2
• Configure roadmaps using system data and analyze solution development including current and future process mapping
• Networks with internal and external partners to develop application requirements and deployment plans
• Executes the project scope, timelines, and budgets for development and implementation
• Technical owner of applications within the organization
• Experience supporting multiple enterprise projects, estimating project resource requirements, and forecasting future needs
• Troubleshoot both process and technical issues as it relates to software and applications implementation
• Consult with applications development director to ensure application productivity and goals are being met on a daily/weekly basis
• Schedule and attend daily and weekly meetings to discuss updates and progress on various projects that are incorporated in the applications and system management
• Supervise applications analyst roll out schedules of newly released application and updates
• Document and review business and technical requirements as it relates to applications and system operations
• Analyze applications to make sure they are meeting security protocols and compliance guidelines
• Subject matter expert for all functional and operational aspects of applications
• Create and enhance any operational initiatives that will improve service and increase quality
• Adheres to all safety policies and procedures in performing job duties and responsibilities while supporting a culture of high quality and great customer service
• Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, and IT standards as well as state, federal, and regulatory requirements, including but not limited to HIPAA, PCI, and SOX requirements.
• Performs other duties that may be necessary or in the best interest of the organization
Qualifications
Experience Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree: Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, and other related, preferred
• Three (3)+ years experience using and developing applications, required
• Three (3)+ years experience as a technical resource in a healthcare setting, required
• Three (3)+ years experience coding and computer programming languages preferred
• Three (3)+ years experience in a project coordination/management or training role, preferred

• Management and organizational skills to support the leadership of this function
• Experience supporting multiple products, estimating project resource requirements, and managing product delivery schedules and associated risks
• Interpersonal skills to support customer service, functional, and team needs
• Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite such as Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Proven experience in e-commerce, Telemedicine, Telehealth, or online health products
• Specialty knowledge of systems applications relating to job function (i.e. EMA, NextGen, etc.)
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations for this position; general understanding of HIPAA guidelines
