QualDerm Partners is seeking a compassionate and skilled Mohs Surgery Medical Assistant to join our Winston Salem, NC team. We are dedicated to delivering exceptional dermatological and surgical care to our patients, with a focus on skin cancer treatment and prevention.
In this role, you will support Mohs surgeons by preparing patients for surgery, assisting throughout the procedures, and providing comprehensive post-operative care. You will be an integral member of our clinical team, ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for Mohs surgery by collecting accurate medical histories and recording vital signs.
- Assist surgeons during Mohs surgical procedures by organizing instruments and maintaining a sterile environment.
- Provide clear post-operative instructions and support to patients to aid recovery and compliance.
- Ensure all surgical instruments and supplies are properly sterilized and maintained.
- Coordinate patient appointments and manage medical records with attention to confidentiality.
- Educate patients about the Mohs surgical process, addressing any questions or concerns.
