Position Summary
QualDerm Partners is seeking a skilled and adaptable Travel Registered Radiologic Technologist (RTT) based in Austin, TX, to provide radiation therapy services across multiple clinic locations. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, delivering high-quality radiation therapy to dermatology patients with various skin conditions, including non-melanoma skin cancers.
The Travel RTT will be responsible for operating radiation therapy equipment, coordinating with clinical teams at multiple sites, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining compliance with all regulatory standards. This position requires flexibility, strong clinical expertise, and excellent communication skills to deliver exceptional patient care while traveling between assigned locations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Administer radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by supervising physicians, adhering to treatment protocols at multiple clinic sites.
- Prepare and educate patients on treatment plans, procedures, and post-treatment care.
- Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment safely and effectively across various locations.
- Verify patient identity, treatment site, dosage, and physician orders prior to treatment administration.
- Monitor patients during therapy sessions, reporting any adverse reactions or concerns to providers promptly.
- Document treatment activities, patient responses, and clinical data accurately in electronic medical records (EMR).
- Perform routine quality assurance checks and assist with equipment calibration and maintenance as needed at different sites.
- Ensure compliance with radiation safety guidelines, federal and state regulations, and organizational policies.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across multiple locations to ensure efficient workflow and consistent patient care quality.
- Maintain flexible scheduling and travel requirements to support multi-site coverage.
- Participate in ongoing education, competency assessments, and professional development.
- Provide excellent patient service demonstrating professionalism, empathy, and effective communication.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
