Position Summary
Waccamaw Dermatology is seeking an organized, professional, and patient-focused Front Desk Coordinator to support daily office operations and ensure an exceptional patient experience. This role serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors and is responsible for maintaining efficient front-office processes while delivering outstanding customer service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Greet, check in, check out, and direct patients and visitors courteously and professionally.
· Schedule appointments, update patient information, and provide accurate information to patients regarding office procedures and services.
· Collect and process payments while maintaining an understanding of insurance carriers and patient financial responsibilities.
· Deliver exceptional customer service with a strong focus on the patient experience.
· Build and maintain positive relationships with referral sources and key stakeholders.
· Effectively multitask and manage responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
· Assist with retail inventory management to ensure appropriate stock levels are maintained.
· Organize workflow and appointments by reviewing correspondence, collecting necessary information, and coordinating assignments.
· Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure compliance with all HIPAA regulations and company policies.
· Professionally de-escalate patient concerns and provide assistance to resolve issues when appropriate.
· Collaborate with team members and support office operations as needed.
· Remain flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of the practice and team.
· Communicate and collaborate effectively with multiple departments throughout the organization.
· Work independently as well as within a team environment.
· Perform all other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Abilities

· Ability to provide outstanding customer service while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.
Education and Experience
· High School Diploma or GED required.
· Associate's degree or additional education in business, healthcare administration, finance, or a related field preferred.
· One to two years of experience in a medical office, healthcare setting, or customer service environment preferred.
· Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
· Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering an exceptional patient experience.
· Previous experience training or mentoring team members is a plus.
