Medical Assistant – Dermatology Clinic
Full-Time | 4–5 Days per Week | No Weekends | Plymouth & Excelsior Clinics
Pinnacle Dermatology, part of the QualDerm Partners family, is seeking an experienced, dependable Medical Assistant to join our team serving our Plymouth and Excelsior clinics. Our clinics periodically have openings as team members transition to the next stage of their healthcare careers, including relocating to pursue advanced education. Aswe continue to build a strong, stable team, we are especially interested in a Medical Assistant with a solid work history in a clinical setting who is looking for a long-term opportunity. The ideal candidate takes pride in providing excellent patient care and is reliable, professional, detail-oriented, and comfortable supporting providers and patients in a busy medical practice.
Previous hands-on Medical Assistant experience in a medical clinic is strongly preferred. Dermatology experience is highly desired but not required. Candidates with demonstrated longevity and dependability in previous Medical Assistant or clinical roles are especially encouraged to apply.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be organized, accurate, dependable, and able to transition efficiently between responsibilities in a fast-paced clinical environment. Strong communication skills, professionalism, attention to detail, and respect for patient confidentiality are essential.
The Medical Assistant will work closely with providers, patients, clinic staff, managers, pharmacies, insurance companies, laboratories, and vendors. We are seeking someone who is comfortable with technology and EMR documentation and who enjoys developing strong working relationships with patients, providers, and coworkers.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Fulfill assigned patient-care responsibilities while anticipating provider needs.
- Greet patients and room them.
- Prepare procedure trays, instruments, and equipment according to provider and clinic protocols.
- Prepare patients appropriately for examinations and procedures.
- Review and update patient health histories to ensure information is thorough and accurate.
- Maintain clean, organized exam rooms and prepare rooms for anticipated procedures.
- Maintain efficient patient flow while rooming and assisting patients.
- Clean, disinfect, and sterilize medical equipment and instruments according to protocol.
- Assist providers during examinations, treatments, and procedures.
- Scribe for providers and maintain strong, accurate clinical documentation.
- Prepare pathology and laboratory specimens according to protocol.
- Complete pathology and laboratory requisitions accurately and maintain appropriate specimen documentation.
- Document patient visits clearly and accurately in the EMR as directed.
- Return patient and pharmacy calls in a timely and professional manner.
- Respond to patient questions in the office and by phone according to provider instructions.
- Review pathology and laboratory results with patients according to provider direction.

Qualifications
- Previous hands-on Medical Assistant experience in a medical clinic strongly preferred
- Demonstrated reliability and a solid employment history in Medical Assistant or related clinical roles preferred
- Dermatology experience highly desired
- Medical Assistant certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology
- Experience with EMR documentation and clinical workflows preferred
- Strong communication and patient-service skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize and shift between responsibilities in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Dependable, professional, and team-oriented
- High school diploma or equivalent required

Compensation Range: $22.00-$29.00 per hour. Final offer will be based on a combination of skills, experience, location, and internal equity.
