We're hiring a full-time Medical Assistant to join our North Atlanta Dermatology clinic in Suwanee, GA. The Medical Assistant will assist physicians and other providers by preparing procedure trays, ensuring adequate supplies for the department and assisting with patient care.
Schedule
- Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (1 hour lunch)
- May be asked to travel to Duluth office if coverage is needed

Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Room patients, obtain vital signs, and document intake information in the EMR.
- Coordinate patient flow and support efficient clinic operations.
- Prepare procedure trays, instruments, and equipment and assist providers with dermatology procedures.
- Prepare and route pathology/lab specimens according to insurance requirements.
- Respond to patient questions, clinical task lists, and nurse line messages as directed.
- Clean, sterilize, maintain, and inventory clinical equipment and instruments.
- Maintain medication and supply inventory, remove expired items, and restock clinical areas.
- Support infection control standards and maintain organized, fully stocked clinical spaces.
- Accurately document patient information and scribe provider notes in the EMR.
- Assist with administration of local anesthetic.
- Ensure phone messages, faxes, and interdepartmental communications are handled in a timely manner.
- Maintain HIPAA compliance.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a medical or clinical setting preferred; Dermatology experience is a plus.
- Medical Assistant certification or completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred, unless otherwise required by state law.
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) preferred.
- Comfortable supporting both general medical and procedural patient care, including rooming patients, obtaining medical histories and vital signs, and assisting providers with clinical procedures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to providing an exceptional patient experience.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Collaborative, dependable, and comfortable working as part of a physician-led clinical team.
- Ability and willingness to learn new clinical workflows, technology, and dermatology-specific procedures.
- Flexibility to travel to nearby practice locations when needed based on business and patient-care needs.

Licensure/Certifications/Education
Education & Experience:
- 1-2 years of recent Medical Assistant, Certified Nursing Assistant, or other clinical patient care experience preferred.
- Completion of a Medical Assistant Program, Certified Nursing Assistant program or completion of a bachelor’s degree program in the pre-med or pre-physician assistant track preferred.
- CPR certified preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Standing and walking for extended periods of time
- Moderate amount of talking, bending, twisting, reaching, and balancing.
- Use of hands and fingers.
- Handling of materials such as paper, supplies, etc.
- Lifting and carrying up to 30 pounds.
- Risk of exposure to infectious organisms and the possibility of injury due to chemicals and sharp objects.
