Compensation: $54,000–$65,000 annually ($26–$31/hour equivalent), commensurate with experience and certification

The Role
The Medical Assistant will work directly alongside our dermatology providers and play a critical role in maintaining clinical flow, procedure readiness, and the overall patient experience.
This is a hands-on clinical support position in a busy, procedure-based practice. The right candidate is fast, precise, highly organized, and takes pride in having every room, tray, and patient ready before the provider needs them.
What You'll Do
- Room patients, including vitals, history intake, medication reconciliation, and chief complaint documentation
- Set up, assist with, and break down dermatologic procedures, including biopsies, excisions, cryotherapy, injections, and other in-office procedures
- Prepare procedure trays, instruments, and sterile fields and maintain instrument sterilization and processing workflows
- Assist providers during procedures, including specimen handling and labeling, pathology requisitions, wound care, and dressing
- Manage exam room turnover, stocking, cleanliness, and readiness throughout the day
- Document accurately and efficiently in the EHR in real time
- Handle patient callbacks, including results communication within established protocols, pre- and post-procedure instructions, and follow-up coordination
- Support prior authorization, prescription refill, and lab/pathology tracking workflows
- Assist with aesthetics services and cosmetic patient workflows as applicable
- Anticipate provider and patient needs to keep the clinical day running efficiently and on schedule
What We're Looking For
Required
- 2+ years of medical assistant experience in an outpatient or ambulatory setting
- Demonstrated experience preparing for and assisting with in-office procedures, including sterile technique, tray setup, instrument handling, and specimen processing; this is an essential requirement for the role
- MA certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA) or equivalent training and experience
- Strong EHR documentation skills
- Professional, composed, and patient-focused in a fast-paced clinical environment
Preferred
- Dermatology experience strongly preferred
- Aesthetics or cosmetic dermatology experience, including exposure to laser services, injectable support, or cosmetic consultations
- Experience in a high-end, concierge, or luxury clinical environment
- Phlebotomy skills
