About
Recent graduate on the pre-PA track from Emmanuel College in Boston. Certified as a CNA, HHA, and in CPR
My name is Andrew Kubaska, and I am a recent graduate from Emmanuel College (Boston), pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Global and Public Health with a minor in Biology. Upon completion of my undergraduate degree, I plan to pursue a Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies.
Upon completing my CNA training course, receiving my CPR and HHA certifications, and gaining over 1000 hours of work experience as a CNA on a medical-surgical floor, I learned valuable skills regarding patient care, assisting with ADLs (activities of daily living), charting, patient communication, and responding to medical emergencies. I also had the opportunity to sit in on minor procedures performed in patient rooms.
Outside of healthcare, I also have experience working as a summer camp counselor and interning on the development team at the non-profit organization WaterFire, where I improved essential communication and leadership skills that will be consistently used when communicating with the patient and their care team.
