QualDerm Partners is looking for a proactive and adaptable Medical Assistant (Float) to join our diverse team across multiple locations. Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examination by taking vital signs and recording medical history.
- Assist doctors during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments are available.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis.
- Maintain patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality at all times.
- Coordinate and schedule patient appointments across different locations.
- Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and proper skincare practices.
- Ensure examination rooms are clean, organized, and fully stocked with necessary supplies.
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Medical Assistant preferred.
- Experience as a Medical Assistant or in a clinical setting, preferably within dermatology.
- Understanding of medical terminology and clinical practices.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and staff.
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in a multi-tasking environment.
- Willingness to travel to various locations as necessary.
- Basic proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and office software.
