Dual Role: MA and FOR for all four locations (Elmhurst, Lombard, Naperville and Hoffman)
Responsibilities
- Clinical (Medical Assistant) Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examination by taking vital signs, documenting medical histories, and updating patient records.
- Assist providers during examinations, procedures, and treatments by preparing equipment, supplies, and treatment rooms.
- Administer injections, medications, and treatments as directed by the provider and within scope of practice.
- Perform basic laboratory testing and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis.
- Educate patients regarding treatment plans, medications, post-procedure instructions, and skincare recommendations.
- Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked exam and procedure rooms.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Front Office Representative Responsibilities
- Greet and check in patients, providing exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming environment.
- Verify patient demographics, insurance information, and required documentation.
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments while optimizing provider schedules.
- Answer incoming phone calls, respond to patient inquiries, and route messages appropriately.
- Process patient payments, collect copays, and assist with checkout procedures.
- Coordinate referrals, prior authorizations, and other administrative tasks as needed.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies.
- Shared Responsibilities
- Flex between clinical and front office duties based on practice needs and patient volume.
- Collaborate with providers and team members to ensure efficient patient flow and an exceptional patient experience.
- Support practice operations by assisting with additional duties as assigned.
