Summary
The Staff Accountant II supports the team by compiling and maintaining financial information utilized for financial, tax, and administrative projects.
Job Responsibilities
- Reconcile general ledger accounts, help reconcile bank accounts, and perform other reconciliations.
- Record journal entries and analyze general ledger accounts for trends and variances.
- Record AP accruals to ensure expenses are recorded in the proper period.
- Support periodic financial and statutory reporting.
- Collect and analyze data to detect deficient controls, fraud, or non-compliance with laws, regulations, and policies.
- Partner with outside auditors by preparing supporting schedules and responding to information requests.
- Provide backup support for other positions within the accounting department as needed.
- Maintain effective working relationships and collaborate across the organization.
- Track capital expenditure (CapEx) requests and spending; ensure proper authorization; place assets into service; and reconcile the fixed asset ledger with the general ledger.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (required).
- 2–3+ years of professional accounting experience (preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and the ability to work effectively across various enterprise software systems.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the organization.
