Position Summary:
The Regional Vice President (RVP) serves as the senior operational and strategic leader for an assigned region, responsible for driving financial performance, physician partnership, operational excellence, and sustainable growth across all practices.
The RVP owns full regional P&L performance and leads multi-site dermatology operations. This role partners closely with Mohs surgeons, general dermatologists, APPs, and clinical leadership to optimize access, case mix, referral management, block utilization, and patient outcomes. The RVP ensures alignment with QualDerm’s strategic objectives while building a high-performance culture centered on patient experience, provider satisfaction, and operational discipline.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Regional Strategic Leadership
- Own full P&L accountability for the region, including revenue growth, expense management, EBITDA performance, and margin expansion
- Develop and execute regional growth strategies aligned with enterprise objectives
- Lead market expansion initiatives including de novo launches, acquisitions, and service line growth
- Analyze key performance indicators and implement action plans to address gaps and opportunities
- Serve as the executive operational partner to physicians within the region
Mohs Program Leadership and Growth
- Drive strategic growth of Mohs surgery services across the region
- Partner directly with Mohs surgeons to optimize block utilization, scheduling templates, staffing models, and case flow
- Increase Mohs case volume through referral alignment, access management, and operational efficiency
- Evaluate Mohs lab workflow, repair coordination, and pathology integration to ensure high-quality, efficient care delivery
- Identify expansion opportunities including new Mohs days, additional surgeons, or geographic market development
- Monitor Mohs-specific KPIs including cases per day, repair mix, staffing ratios, and contribution margin
Operational Excellence
- Ensure consistent operational standards across all clinics
- Drive labor optimization, staffing models, and productivity standards
- Oversee provider scheduling to maximize access, revenue, and patient satisfaction
- Improve patient throughput, appointment utilization, and cancellation management
- Implement best practices in clinic workflow and performance management
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, CLIA, MIPS, and all regulatory requirements
Physician and Provider Partnership
- Serve as primary operational liaison for physicians and advanced practice providers
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and ramp-up of new providers
- Partner with clinical leadership to support provider engagement and retention
- Address operational barriers impacting physician productivity or satisfaction
- Align incentives and operational strategy to support long-term growth
People Leadership
- Lead and develop Practice Administrators and regional operational leaders
- Establish clear performance expectations and accountability standards
- Conduct performance reviews, succession planning, and leadership development
- Build a culture of ownership, accountability, and service excellence
- Address performance concerns and ensure timely resolution of employee relations matters
Financial Management
- Develop and manage regional operating budgets
- Monitor labor, supply, and direct clinic costs to ensure financial discipline
- Evaluate capital expenditure needs including Mohs equipment, lab build-outs, and expansion investments
- Identify revenue cycle improvement opportunities in partnership with centralized teams
