The Role
We are seeking a highly reliable, detail-oriented Front Desk / Medical Assistant who thrives in a team environment and can seamlessly support both administrative and clinical functions.
This is a cross-trained role—you will be an essential part of both the front office and clinical team, helping ensure smooth patient flow and an excellent patient experience from check-in to check-out.
What You’ll Do
Front Desk Responsibilities:
- Greet and check in patients in a professional and friendly manner
- Answer phones, manage scheduling, and assist with patient inquiries
- Verify insurance and collect payments
- Coordinate patient flow and maintain an organized front office
Clinical (Medical Assistant) Responsibilities:
- Room patients efficiently and accurately
- Document patient history and assist providers during exams and procedures
- Perform scribing in EMA (Modernizing Medicine)
- Assist with biopsies, excisions, and Mohs procedures as needed
- Educate patients on treatment plans and post-procedure care
- Maintain clean, stocked, and organized exam rooms
Team Support:
- Help manage patient flow to keep providers on schedule
- Assist with checkout and follow-up scheduling as needed
- Work collaboratively with both front desk and clinical staff to ensure a seamless experience
What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years of Medical Assistant experience (dermatology strongly preferred)
- Prior front desk or patient-facing administrative experience required
- Experience with EMA / ModMed is a major plus
- Strong multitasking and time management skills
- Ability to move between front office and clinical duties with ease
- Excellent communication and patient interaction skills
- Team player mentality with accountability (we don’t do “that’s not my job” here)
