Compensation: $70,000-80,000 base + performance based commission
Position Summary
Under the direction of the Chief Marketing Officer, the Physician Recruiter plans, develops, and executes strategic recruitment initiatives to ensure a strong, sustainable pipeline of high-quality physicians and advanced practice providers for U.S. Dermatology Partners.
This role plays a critical part in supporting the organization’s growth and long-term workforce strategy by identifying, engaging, and cultivating top dermatology talent across current and future markets. The Physician Recruiter is responsible for generating a high volume of qualified leads and building a robust pipeline of physician prospects to convert to hires. Success in this role is measured by the quality, depth, and conversion of the candidate pipeline.
In addition, this position partners closely with leadership and newly recruited providers to facilitate onboarding and ensure a seamless transition into the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Pipeline Development & Sourcing
Develop and maintain a high-quality pipeline of dermatologists, Mohs surgeons, and APPs (PAs/NPs)
Source candidates through targeted outreach including job postings, email campaigns, direct mail, cold calling, networking, and industry and residency events
Build and maintain a comprehensive database of practicing dermatologists and residents to support current and future hiring needs
Research residency and fellowship programs and coordinate outreach initiatives
Recruitment Execution
Draft and post compelling job descriptions across appropriate channels
Conduct initial phone screens to assess candidate fit, interest, and alignment with organizational culture
Coordinate and facilitate physician interviews, including site visits, itineraries, and onsite engagement as needed
Gather and synthesize interview feedback to identify top candidates
Relationship Management & Candidate Experience
Serve as a primary point of contact for candidates throughout the recruitment process
Build strong relationships with residents, fellows, and practicing physicians
Partner with internal physicians and leadership to support referrals and networking efforts
Represent the organization at residency programs, recruiting events, and conferences
Onboarding & Retention Support
Act as a liaison for newly recruited physicians to ensure a smooth onboarding experience
Facilitate introductions to credentialing, human resources, and regional clinical and operational leadership
Support newly hired providers through transition and integration into the organization
Identify trends and lead initiatives that improve physician satisfaction and retention
Market Intelligence & Strategy
Identify competitive market dynamics, compensation benchmarks, and growth opportunities
Provide insights and recommendations to leadership to support recruiting strategy and market expansion
Track and report on pipeline activity, lead generation, and recruitment performance metrics
Operational Excellence
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within CRM systems
Ensure a high level of professionalism, confidentiality, and responsiveness
Adhere to organizational policies, compliance standards, and safety procedures
Support a culture of high-quality service and continuous improvement
Perform additional duties as needed to support organizational priorities
QualificationsExperience:
Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, or related field (required)
3+ years of physician or APP healthcare recruiting experience (required)
Proven ability to generate leads and build strong candidate pipelines (required)
Strong communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills (required)
Experience recruiting within dermatology or a multi-site healthcare organization (preferred)
Familiarity with physician compensation models and contract structures (preferred)
Experience with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, PracticeMatch) (preferred)
