Under general supervision following established policies, procedures, and professional guidelines, prepares high quality tissue specimens for microscopic examination and performs a wide variety of standard and non-standard histological tests and stains and a limited number of new, modified, or special tests and examinations.
Required:
Associated Degree - Science
License/Registrations - Issued by Florida or Compact State

·Prepare and keep laboratory up to CLIA Standards. | ·Knowledge of CLIA regulations regarding proficiency testing, quality assurance and quality control. | ·Knowledge of medical terminology. | ·Time Management Skills: able to process slides in a timely manner for surgeon/pathologist while patient is waiting. |
