Practice Manager
Premier Multidisciplinary Outpatient Practice · Dermatology-First
Location: North Andover, MA · On-site
Type: Full-time
Compensation: $95,000–$120,000 base, commensurate with experience, plus performance bonus eligibility and meaningful growth opportunity as the practice scales
About the Practice
We are building a premier multidisciplinary outpatient practice in North Andover, anchored in dermatology with additional specialty service lines to follow. Our environment is modern, polished, and deeply focused on the patient experience—closer in operating philosophy to high-end hospitality than a traditional medical office.
We are growing quickly and building a team that takes real pride in delivering exceptional care and running an exceptional clinic.
The Role
This is a true ownership role. The Practice Manager will lead the day-to-day operation of the practice across staffing, scheduling, patient flow, front- and back-office performance, vendor coordination, and operational execution.
You will serve as the on-site leader of the practice, operate with a high degree of independence, partner directly with leadership, and play a central role in hiring and developing the team as the practice grows.
This role is designed for someone energized by a busy, high-volume, fast-growing environment—someone who likes building, improving, and solving problems rather than simply maintaining the status quo.
What You'll Do
- Own daily clinic operations, including staffing coverage, provider schedules, patient flow, room utilization, and same-day problem-solving
- Lead, coach, and manage front-office, medical assistant, and administrative teams while setting a high bar for professionalism, accountability, and service
- Drive hiring in partnership with leadership, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, onboarding, and team development
- Build and continuously improve operational workflows and SOPs across intake, scheduling, procedure preparation, inventory, opening and closing routines, and other core clinic functions
- Manage vendor relationships across supplies, equipment, facilities, and service contractors
- Monitor and improve operational performance, including schedule density, no-show rates, wait times, throughput, and patient experience
- Support front-end revenue cycle operations in coordination with billing, including eligibility, patient collections, and charge workflows
- Maintain operational and compliance readiness across OSHA, HIPAA, documentation standards, and the clinical environment
- Step in wherever needed to keep the practice running smoothly—from resolving a patient escalation to covering the front desk or handling an urgent supply need before a procedure day
What We're Looking For
Required
- 5+ years of practice management or clinic operations leadership experience in an outpatient or ambulatory setting
- Experience managing teams of 10+ across clinical and administrative functions
- Demonstrated hiring and team-building experience—you have helped build or meaningfully grow a team, not simply inherited one
- Exceptional professionalism, with polished communication, discretion, sound judgment, and composure under pressure
- A proactive operating style: you identify problems, take ownership, and drive them to resolution
- Comfort with EHR and practice management systems, scheduling operations, and provider schedule optimization
Preferred
- Dermatology, aesthetics, plastic surgery, or another procedure-based specialty
- Experience opening a new clinic, launching a service line, or scaling a growing practice
- Experience in a multispecialty or multi-provider environment
Who Thrives Here
- High-energy, flexible, and hands-on
- Energized by growth, change, and building something new
- Takes ownership of outcomes, not simply assigned tasks
- Moves easily between strategic priorities and practical execution
- Wants a role with the opportunity to grow into broader leadership as the practice expands
